The Challenge

Dubai had become a paradox: the more extraordinary it grew, the less audiences believed it.

Solution

Instead of arguing with skepticism, we made it the story. Directed by Academy Award winner Tom Hooper, The Hyperbolist unfolds at a Manhattan dinner party where a husband describes his Dubai trip in terms so outrageous they sound fictional — until every detail proves true. Intimate New York realism collides with sweeping desert horizons, falcons in flight, and sunrise over the Marina.

The reveal is simple: Dubai doesn’t need exaggeration.
The truth is astonishing enough.

This film for client Visit Dubai, developed in partnership with VML Dubai, serves as the centerpiece of a larger campaign made up of broadcast and social films, and extensive OOH, under the theme “Beyond Real.”
